What a whirlwind! We had a dramatic increase in aid requests and an even larger increase in single requests via social workers or directly in the lead up to Christmas. Lack of space was a huge limiting factor that saw us moving items several times to accommodate these requests. We also ramped up our volunteer sessions. Another busy 3 months with volunteer sessions every 2 weeks & van loads of aid going out most weeks. Our massive winter clothing drive for the homeless seeing our community donations increase phenomenally. Van loads went out approx every 2 weeks! Clothing went to the Avalon Centre & VACCA . Another incredibly busy quarter saw us delivering bulk aid regularly, with our amazing volunteers gathering fortnightly to sort, pack, and distribute support where it was needed most.

Another great start to the year with volunteer sessions being run approximately every 2 weeks. In January we got back to school items out to BayCISS & Port Phillip Community Centre who also received much needed packs for children in their care. BayCISS have also received non perishable food & shopping bags ongoing.

4th Quarter Review . Another full throttle few months with volunteer sessions approx. every 2 weeks producing 2162 main packs, many of which held up to 3 smaller packs. We provided ongoing, significant food relief to BayCISS & Grace Heart Community Church. Aid also went out to 2nd Chance Cat Rescue & the residents at Calvalry Care Brighton & to Emerge for domestic violence survivors. Another busy 3 months with more regular volunteer sessions and a lot more to come! Our massive annual homeless initiative ran this ¼ and saw quite a few vanloads of winter clothes, backpacks, sleeping bags etc headed to the Avalon Centre who distribute to those most in need. The amazing team at TOP REMOVALS helped us deliver 300 of our 400 strong backpacks for the homeless which has our community pitching in & packing around 16,000 items this year!
